Joshua Geltzer

How can we stop extremists from recruiting on the internet?

As always, technology is creating both challenges and opportunities. But here, failing to harness the power of our own innovation may cost us our lives. Or are those technologies simply beyond our control?

One man who lives this issue is Joshua Geltzer, Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council in the White House.

He will speak at a Ramsay Luncheon on Friday, October 7th on Radicalization in Cyberspace: How Extremists use the Internet to recruit followers, and what we can do about it.

Before joining the NSC staff, Josh was Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for National Security at the Department of Justice. He also clerked for Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, served as editor-in-chief of the Yale Law Journal and earned his Ph.D. in War Studies from King’s College London.

So please join us on October 7th to learn the nuances of one of the great debates of our age: liberty vs. security.
